CORAL

Acropora Globiceps
Distinguished by it's stubby cilinder like coralites, that are round at the top. Usually varying between green, blue, and cream in color. It's listed as threatened (vulnerable) by the IUCN. It grows in waters from 0 to 8 meters in the Central, Western, and Indo-Pacific Ocean.

Acropora Jacquelineae
Distinguised by it's branch-like coralites and flat top. Acropora Jaquelinae colonies usually span a meter in diameter, they very in color from gray, brown, and pink. They are usually found in the coral triangle (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, New Guinea, and Solomon Islands), and Central Pacific Ocean, in depths from 15 to 35 metres. They are catagorized as threatened (vulnerable) by the ICUN.

Acropora Lokani
Distinguished by it's small, branch-like coralites and colors spanning from brown, cream, and blue. Acropora Lokani colonies usually grow to 30 centimeters wide, they grow in the Coral Triange (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, New Guinea, and Solomon Islands), in depths of 8 and 25 meters. They are classified as threatened (vulnerable) by the IUCN.

Acropora Pharaonis
Distinguished by it's tree-like shape and spanning horizontal coralites, they are grey-brown and color with light tips on the ends of their coralites. They live in the Indian Ocean, Red Sea, Persian Gult, Gulf of Aden, New Caledonia, and Fiji. The can be as tall as 2 meters and can grow in depths from 5 and 25 meters. They are listed as threatened (vulnerable) by the IUCN.

Acropora Retusa
Distinguished by it's stubby finger-like branches and radical coralites, Acropora Retusa is green or brown in color and grows in flat plate-like colonies. They are found in Guam, American Samoa, and the Pacific Remote Island Areas, at depths of 0 to 5 meters. Because of this you may be able to see them in shallow water! Keep an eye out! Acropora Retusa are listed as threatened (vulnerable) by the IUCN.

Acropora Rudis
Identified by it's irregular branches and large axial coralites, Acropora Rudis are a dark tan in color with light tips to their branches, they grow to be a meter in diameter. It can be found in Sri Lanka, the Seychelles, Bangladesh, Thailand, and western Sumatra from depths of 3 and 15 meters. They are classified as threatened (endangered) by the IUCN.

Acropora Speciosa
Identified by it's bottlebrush branches and table-like colonies, they are cream or brown in color with delicately colored tips, and are a meter in diameter. Found in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, the southwest Indian ocean, northwest Indian Ocean, the central Indo-Pacific, Southeast Asia, Japan, the East China Sea, eastern Australia, oceanic west Pacific ocean, and central Pacific Ocean from depths of 2 and 25 meters. They are classified as threatened (vulnerable) by the IUCN.

Acropora Tenella
Identidied by it's plate like colonies and flattened branches. They are cream in color with white or blue tips. They live in Micronesia, Japan, the Great Barrier Reef, and the coral triangle (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, New Guinea, and Solomon Islands) from depths of 25 to 70 meters. They are listed as threatened (vulnerable) by the ICUN.

Anacropora Spinosa
Distinguished by it's compact branches and spiny coralites, they are light brown in color with white tips. They live in Taiwan, Japan, New Caledonia and the Coral Triange (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, New Guinea, and Solomon Islands) at depths of between 5 and 15 meters. They are listed as threatened (endangered) by the IUCN.

Cantharellus Noumeae
Distinguished by it's cup shape, wavy margins, and small polyps, they are brown in color and resemble Chanterelle Mushrooms, which they get their name from. They live in New Caledonia from depths of 0 to 30 meters. They are classified as threatened (endangered) by the IUCN.
